Introduction

Designed for you and your lifestyle. Easy and quick to use, Qufora IrriSedo MiniGo and MiniGo Flex is a simple solution for bowel irrigation with a small amount of water, also called low volume irrigation. Its subtle design fits right into the bathroom, and with MiniGo being convenient to pack away and discreet to carry, irrigating away from home can be just as convenient. The difference is in the details, and as a Red Dot Award winner, MiniGo is recognised for its high design quality.

Product
Soft pump

Easy to fill with water, and fits naturally into the shape of the hand, making it easy to hold and squeeze.

Smooth cone

Ready lubricated, just dip in water for a few seconds. The soft, round tip ensures comfortable insertion and removal.

Water is instilled into the rectum by squeezing the soft pump. With its five-outlet design, the cone delivers water with a gentle shower effect in all directions in the rectum.

The cone is also available in a small version. It has the same oval shape and delivers the same water flow, but with a shorter length and more narrow width. Ideal for children and those that require a smaller cone

Qufora IrriSedo MiniGo

The cone attaches directly to the soft pump for one-hand handling

Ideal for people who:

  • Are free to hold the cone in place in the rectum
  • Have good dexterity and hand control
Qufora IrriSedo MiniGo Flex

The cone flex and soft pump form an all-in-one solution, with a flexible tube integrated with the cone

See and squeeze the soft pump in front of you – with MiniGo Flex you gain extra distance to the soft pump, for an alternative way of handling it during irrigation. The cone’s flexible tubing also helps you get an easier reach behind.

Ideal for people who:

  • Have difficulties with balance while reaching behind
Have dexterity and reach challenges and would benefit from squeezing the pump in front or when placed on the thigh
  • Are helping their child to carry out irrigation, or, as the first step towards independence are squeezing the pump or holding the cone for the child
  • Would prefer the alternative way of controlling the pump that MiniGo Flex provides

These are some examples of the kinds of needs where MiniGo Flex can provide an easier and more comfortable position on the toilet during irrigation.

An assessment is always carried out by the healthcare professional in order to identify suitability for irrigation and the right product for the individual needs.

How does MiniGo work?

MiniGo works by flushing water from the soft pump into the rectum via the cone.

Open the lid and fill the pump up to the inner rim with luke warm tap water (36 – 38°) by holding it under the tap with the lid open. Once it is filled to the inner rim hold onto the top part of the pump and press down on the lid until you hear the click sound.

Attach the cone to the soft pump. To activate the smooth lubricant, wet it with water up to its base for a few seconds. Gently squeeze the pump until water comes out of the cone tip. It is now ready to use.

Sit on or over the toilet. Carefully guide the cone up to its base into the rectum. Now the cone is in place, gently squeeze the pump to instil water into the rectum.

Tip: The picture shows insertion of the cone from the back, by reaching behind. It can also be inserted from the front, by guiding it between your legs and then into the rectum. Find the position that is most comfortable for you.

When the cone is removed, the water and stool are flushed out into the toilet.

Before use, always consult the ‘Instructions for use’ document delivered with the product.

Bowel irrigation helps prevent constipation and faecal incontinence and restores predictable bowel function.

People with the following symptoms and bowel conditions can benefit from irrigating with a low volume of water as an effective bowel management solution:

Symptoms:
  • Faecal incontinence (e.g. passive faecal incontinence and post defaecation seepage)
  • Constipation (e.g. incomplete evacuation and evacuation difficulties)
  • Mixed (i.e. a combination of faecal incontinence and constipation)
Conditions:
  • Low anterior resection syndrome (LARS)
  • Rectocele
  • Obstetric trauma, i.e. leading to pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Functional bowel disorders
  • Obstructive defecation
  • Paediatric conditions such as megarectum or chronic constipation in children
  • Neurogenic bowel dysfunction (NBD), such as multiple sclerosis (MS), spinal cord injury (SCI) or cauda equina

Irrigating with a low volume of water can also be called flushing, a rectal washout or a low volume tap water enema.

  • The soft pump can be used 30 times (equal to 1 month usage time when used for irrigation every day). Should discoloration develop within the recommended usage time, the soft pump should be replaced
  • The cone is a single use item. If the single use items of the product are reused, there is a risk of unwanted effects that can influence the function of the product and the health of the patient, carers and others
