Bowel irrigation for bowel management is also known as transanal irrigation (TAI) or rectal irrigation. The bowel irrigation procedure is straightforward – a small amount of luke warm tap water is instilled into the rectum through the anus, and the water and faeces is expelled, emptying the colon.
We offer a broad range of solutions for bowel irrigation to overcome chronic constipation and faecal incontinence. Bowel dysfunction has three main origins: chronic constipation and faecal incontinence of heterogenous origin, low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) and neurogenic bowel dysfunction (NBD).
