PJ and Jack’s story

PJ and Jack found support in each other and a bowel irrigation procedure for bowel management after spinal cord injury, helping them manage daily routines with confidence.

When PJ and Jack met at the National Rehabilitation University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, they were both recovering from a spinal cord injury. What began as a chance meeting turned into a friendship that helped them navigate one of the most challenging aspects of life after injury: bowel dysfunction in spinal cord injury.

How friendship led to a solution for bowel management

PJ was the first to try a bowel irrigation procedure (also known as transanal irrigation or rectal irrigation) with Qufora IrriSedo Klick. After establishing a bowel management routine that worked for him, he shared his experience with Jack, who soon adopted the same approach.

Their bowel management routine supports Jack in returning to college and PJ in working on his family farm. Their story is a testament to resilience, friendship, and the role of the right bowel management solution for spinal cord injury.
